What will help strip oils on my scalp without drying out my 2b wavy curls?

I used DevaCurl for a year and ended up with so much buildup on my scalp despite rubbing scalp well with the pads of my fingers. Daily cleansing is not an option, so with my oily scalp this is an issue I've fought for years.

Hi,If you have an oily scalp there is an excellent home remedies that you can use to remove the excess oil from your scalp. This ingredient is easily available at home and it works wonders. This ingredient is none other than baking soda or powder.
Hi BrandonsWife, Yes, DevaCurl, while amazing for styling and conditioning, can be too heavy for some wavies. I don't recommend the No-Poo or the One Condition for regular use, because it will be too greasy and cause buildup. Low Poo might be a better option, if you're committed to Deva. However, if you're not committed to Deva, I highly recommend trying out the Elucence Moisture Benefits Shampoo and Moisture Balancing Conditioner. I use them about 2x to 3x a week to cleanse and condition my hair. My hair has been super moisturized and soft, not dry at all. If you want an awesome clarifyer (for when you get buildup) the Elucence Volume Clarifying Shampoo is your best bet. It won Editor's Choice this year cause it's that good! I recommend starting with that (to make your scalp a fresh clean slate), and then switching over to the Elucence moisture benefits line. Here's their brand page on CurlMart: http://Shop.NaturallyCurly.com/brands/Elucence.htmlGood luck!
