Can I clarify with any random/average/normal/etc. sulfate shampoo if I use no sulfates?

None of the products I use in my hair have sulfates and such (I use Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus and Raw Shea Butter stuff). But I still get a VERY large amount of product build up (the white balls and once an odd yellowish waxy thing, kind of like taffy (hope don't gross anyone out:). I was wondering if a normal, sulfate shampoo could wash this build up out since I don't use sulfates. It's very embarrassing and needs to be taken care of ASAP but I can't get to the store anytime soon. Thanks.

well if you're into Shea moisture use the black soap shampoo because it detoxes the hair and scalp. But to specifically clarify try kinky curly come clean. A good homemade recipe is the apple cider vinegar mixture
