What kind of "build up" does a cleansing co wash remove vs just using conditioner?

I am currently using Shea Moisture's Coconut & Hibiscus Cleansing Co Wash, and I'm quite happy with it. I also have a second question: I use a spray leave-in conditioner that contains amodimethicone, but it's pretty far down on the ingredients list, and my hair responds really well to it. I've been doing the CGM for a little over a month, and have just recently worked the leave in back into my routine. Should I be using a sulfate - free shampoo, or is my co wash "cleansing" enough to fight any build up?

The co-washing will probably be enough, but if you are starting to notice your hair getting buildup, then you might want to wash with a sulfate-free shampoo once a week. It all depends on you!
