I've used SheaMoisture hair color (and have since bleached my hair about 3 times -- i know, girl... lol) and i've never had that problem. I've never used Color Oops, so your best bet would be to look up reviews of that product if you haven't done that already. Also ask the store about a return policy so that when you buy it, you can try a TEST PATCH (both on your skin and a small section of your hair) and if you're not happy with the result you can get a refund. Do you deep condition your hair often? That is a necessity for me! My favorite conditioner right now is the Dark and Lovely Au Naturale Anti-Breakage conditioner. So just deep condition your hair often! I also do the LOC method http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlreading/kinky-hair-type-4a/loc-method-the-routine-every-curly-should-know/Hope that helps!
I dyed my hair last year ( Dark Brown to Blondish Brown). Does Color Oops work on year old dye?
I used SheaMoisture's coloring system about a year ago. It was wonderful...until six months later. I have no clue what happened. My hair started to tangle more and feel less smooth. Now a year later, what's left of my dyed hair (about 4-5in.) feels like sandpaper when wet, consistently mats and tangles (no matter how long I detangle or deep condition), and always dry. It's so bad that I consistently wear yarn twists or other extension styles because it takes over 12hrs to wash. I saw color oops in the drugstore today...and so far it says that it can take old hair dye out. This might sound like a dumb question, but would this dye remover help my hair from feeling like sandpaper?...Or is a big chop in store for me? (I reeeaallllyyyy don't want to cut my hair...)
