Is it bad to comb hair when wet?

They easiest way for me to finger detangle/comb  my hair is when I'm in the shower, my hair is completely soaked, and has conditioner in it. I read that combing you hair while wet causes breakage and frizzy. Is this true? Are their any easier and less damaging ways to detangle hair?

Combing your hair while wet (starting from the bottom and working your way up to the roots) is a good way to detangle your hair. Although hair is more vulnerable to breakage when wet, saturating the hair with conditioner and being careful (not yanking on it) definitely helps lessen that damage. I believe that finger combing is the most gentle way to detangle it though you could use a wide tooth comb to lessen the strain on your hair.
