Is leave in conditioner and deep conditioner the same? What's the difference?

I think leave in has a more watery consistency because it's meant to be left in the hair before styling. Some leave in's even come in a spray bottle. Deep conditioner is typically much thicker and heavier and I don't think it can be left in prior to styling.
Deep conditioners are meant to be used after rinsing off shampoo. They are also meant to be rinsed out. Leave-in conditioner is meant to be applied after you've deep conditioned.
