Neutral henna to thicken fine 3B graying hair: can I prevent yellowing?

I am considering "neutral henna" (cassia obovata) to condition and thicken my fine 3B hair. My hair is light brown, but graying. I understand that cassia obovata can yellow or add a golden hue to lighter hair. I don't mind if my hair looks a little more golden overall, and I don't mind if the grays mixed in with my hair get a bit more golden. But I have a beautiful white streak at my forehead/temple which I am very attached to, and I am afraid of it turning yellow. Can I prevent yellowing in this patch? Is there a way to minimize yellowing with cassia obovata? Would it be possible to somehow wrap this lock of hair separately so it is not touched by the treatment at all? Would love any input!
