What is a good DIY deep condtioner?
Can everyone share with me their absolute favorite DIY/homemade deep conditioner? I've tried quite a few, but I just want to see what other people love!
Hey! So I just made this one up myself but I loooove the way it makes my hair feel. I use one banana, one egg, some tressemme naturals conditioner, coconut oil, olive oil, grapeseed oil, honey, and a little bit of lemon juice or aloe vera juice. I combine everything except for the coconut oil and honey in a food processor and I heat up the coconut oil and honey together. I then add those to the other mixture and combine in the food processor. I apply it all over my hair and cover it with a shower cap. I leave it on for about 1 hour and rinse it out with water. I usually cowash and then just use a leave-in conditioner as my styler for the day. My curls will be defined and super soft. I recommend trying it :) You can also try adding avocado.
You can make a really simple one by adding olive or coconut oil to your favorite daily conditioner, along with a few drops of your favorite essential oils. If you want to add other ingredients like fruits or veggies (ie bananas or avocados) I've found it's easier to use banana baby food because it's already been blended (the chunks can be really hard to wash out!).
