Before you cut your hair, I think it's important to know what shape you would like to see . Triangular, round or square.  Triangular shape is probably what you've been experiencing when your aunt cuts it to all one length.  Round shape is when the hair is layered and follows your head shape.  Square shape tends to look more boxy. Grab some references from google or pinterest so you're on the same page with your stylist tomorrow.  I think you will be fine as long as you are very clear on exactly what you're looking to achieve.
you should think about the length , shape and layers .it's important to have an idea of what you are looking for before you set down in a stylist chair . Think about what you want to accomplish and go for it .  If you are looking for a dramatic change go bold and chop it off . Or maybe you are looking for layers ?  Think about it . good luck .
