I have type 3b/3c hair but I am experiencing a lot of frizz and breakage.
The top of my hair seems to be breaking off, and the part underneath doesn't seem to curl and its very frizzy. I don't know what products i can use to help control the frizz and make my hair more manageable and softer.
First I love the Curly Girl method which will eliminate a lot of harmful chemicals from your hair such as sulfates, silicones, mineral oils, petroleum. It will allow moisture to really get to your hair and not just coat it on top. That will help with breakage! I am a huge Shea Moisture fan and their Yucca & Plantain line is designed for anti-breakage! I don't have breakage issues but I love the milk and occasionally use the shampoo (it's a little too moisturizing for me). That's what I would do in a hot second! That brand if not the Yucca then the Coconut & Hibiscus or the Jamaican Black Castor Oil line or Manuka Honey. All really good, and smell good any would improve what you are experiencing! Beautiful curls by the way :D
I also have 3C hair and quite a bit of breakage. What has worked for me is the following:Devacurl Decadence No poo and the Decadence One Condition - if you use this regularly, it will work and help keep your hair moisturized.Camille Rose Sweet Ginger Conditioning Cleanser - works well to keep hair moisturized and you will experience less breakage. Deep Conditioners- Camille Rose Deep Algae Renew Mask, Shea Moisture's Raw Shea Butter Deep Treatment Mask, Aquage Healing Conditioner, Trader Joe's Nourish Spa - any of these used regularly will help moisturize your hair so breakage will stop.By using these products, I experience less and less breakage. Hope this helps you!
