How Can A Product Induce Moisture AND Fight Frizz At The Same Time?

I’ve been natural for about 2 years and this is my second season to learn the difference between “summer hair” and “winter hair”, and how to manage styling during the summer. I’m looking for products that offer styling hold and help fight frizzy swollen hair by day’s end for twistouts in humid climates. Some of the styling products I see say they add moisture to the hair and also offer frizz control. My question is—how can a product induce moisture AND fight frizz at the same time? I thought excess moisture WAS the cause of frizz. If a product is adding moisture, isn’t that defeating the purpose of fighting frizz? Maybe I’m missing something? Any light you can shed on how the two factors work together would be great. Thanks!
