My coconut oil has devloped a unpleasent scent. is it spoiled?

I recently purchase spectrum coconut oil, a week ago and it has developed a not too good smell doesn't smell like coconut oil at all. I think it's because od the room temperature in my bed room . so I toss it?

this is interesting. I've never heard of coconut oil getting a bad smell. I had huge jar of coconut oil for a year and through it melting and solidifying again and it still kept the scent. Spectrum was the first brand I tried with coconut oil and I had it sitting on my dresser where sometime it would be slightly melted and other times completely solid. Did you not have the lid on tightly? Maybe it was a bad batch to begin with. But it should be thrown out just in case.
