hi there! i was wondering how others with type 3a/3b use a diffuser, bc i have ended up with frizz
im sorry if i seem dramatic or something, haha, but i need to gets my curls under control before school starts...
I totally understand. The trick is to make sure you have enough product on your hair and also to comb or brush through for even distribution. After you apply the product, lightly scrunch your hair by gathering the hair and squeezing it upward with your hands. Now, this is when you'll apply the heat from your diffuser on the outside of your hair with little to no manipulation spending about 30 seconds on each section until your hair is about 75% dry. At this point you should let the rest dry naturally. Once the hair is completely dry, you will then be able to move it around as desired. So the key is even product distribution and little manipulation to the hair while drying. I also recommend using SheaMoisture's Coconut and Hibiscus Collection to enhance your curls. I hope this helps.
don't use the heat setting use the cool setting because heat damages hair. Try a little bit of mousse or any other good styleing product. Key to using a defuser flip your hair all to one side and then flip your hair down ward and put the ends into the defuser.
