You may not have discovered the right hairstyles for you yet. I found as I kept doing different things with my hair (trial and error) I found hairstyles that were right for me. You may like to use stretching methods (such as twist-outs, braid-outs, bantu-knot-outs, etc.) or prefer wash n' gos or may prefer wearing your hair in buns or ponytails. It took me a few months to figure out what I like. If you don't like afros, puffs, or braids/twists, that's okay, just because you have natural hair doesn't mean you have to wear your hair like that. Wash n' gos and stretching methods will 'alter' the hair pattern to look curly. After it's been months and you still don't like your hair, then wear it straight. Natural hair that is blow-dried and flat-ironed without any sort of texturizer or relaxer in it is still natural. If you prefer the look of straight hair then keep it straight. Just don't put a chemical in it and coat your hair in coconut oil before blow-drying to stop hair breakage, and try to straighten only once every 2 weeks.
