I need recommendations for styling products for 2a/2c hair.
I want to control frizz and add moisture. My hair is low porosity but also very dry. It is thick. My FIA type is 2bCii. Looking for specific product recommendations only. I am considering Ouidad and Jessicurl at the moment but I am still unsure as to which specific items to go with.
Hi Itthrum, Thanks for the detailed info on your hair type. If you have thick, coarse hair, then you probably can withstand some of the thicker products that most wavies can't. Take a look at this article for some great moisture recommendations: http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlreading/curl-pro...That should help with the frizz. If you're interested in Jessicurl, I highly recommend the Spiralicious Styling Gel. It's amazing! The Rocking Ringlets will definitely be too thin for your thick hair, so stay away from that. But Spiralicious is the best! Their Shampoo and Conditioner is also reaaaally good. But it's on the thinner side and doesn't have much lather, so you might need something with more lather to get through your thick hair. For Shampoo and Conditioner I would recommend something with a good lather, like Elucence Moisture Benefits Shampoo. It lathers really nicely and is easily distributed throughout the scalp. For conditioner, I highly recommend DevaCurl One Condition. It's nice and thick, perfect for your hair type. Hope that helps!
