Very modified curly girl
After several years of adhering to a strict curly girl routine, I had the opportunity to try the cheapest, sulfate and cone-ridden products known to man, Suave Professional with shea butter and almond. My hair looked better than it has in years. So I bought some. It looks great for about 2 or 3 weeks, at which point I wash it all out with Neutrogena clarifying shampoo, deep condition with Heaven in Hair, and then resume the Suave routine. Also, I really like the way my hair looks without any styling product, just a little conditioner and air dry. So I figured if I'm breaking all the rules, let's try this and then use old-fashioned hairspray to hold it in place. It looks fabulous. I have very fine 3b hair, thinning somewhat from age, and the above routine allows it to dry without anything weighting it down (which most styling products do with my hair). Time will tell if this shampoo, conditioner, hairspray works. I sure hope so, because it's cheap and easy. You might wonder what's left of curly girl in this routine. Well, I still scrunch and plop, use microfiber towels, and sleep in a satin bonnet.
I use Suave professionals as my leave-in too, and my 3a curls also look great.
