What products are best for me?
I have type 3a, low porosity and medium density. Some products weigh my hair down and make it look greesy. I dont like to use alot of product in my hair for that reason. I am in search of...A good cleanser and or shampooConditioner and deep conditioner/maskA 2nd day reviverAnd a definerI really want to start a routine that is consistent. Also I'm curious about curl keeper, will that work for me?
For whatever it's worth I'll share my routine. I have 2c Fine, low porosity, low density hair.Shampoo: Shea Moisture Coconut & HibiscusConditioner: SM C & HDeep Cond: Hask Keratin protein pack or SM JBCO or SM Manuka HoneyThen I do the LOC method or as I say the LOCH method. This works fab for me and are my Holy Grail styling products/method. On the other hand, I am not married to the shampoo and rinse out conditioner. And I use a low sulfate shampoo a few times a month b/c of build up and an oily scalp--L- Leave In: Kinky Curly Knot Today (nickel sized)O- Oil: SM C&H Dry Oil Mist (for body or hair, it's light!) 3pumps into hands, put on ends onlyC- Cream: Deva Curl Curl CreamH- Hold: Deva Curl Frizz Free Volumizing Foam (3pumps)Then I scrunch out the wet w/ a T-shirt and apply 1 more pump of the DC foam to my front and crown (weaker curl areas). Some times add a couple of sprays of sea salt spray at roots.Diffuse 60-70% clip roots for lift, hit with diffuser a little and then finish air drying.Fluff roots, scrunch hair and voila! My 2nd day refresher (after taking hair down from top ponytail and sleeping on satin pillowcase) is--SM Yucca & Plantain Styling Milk smoothed over surface and scrunched in. Usually 3-4 pea sized applications do the trick.Hope that helps.
