Help! I'm overwhelmed with product choices and need some recommendations!
Okay, I am a type 2C, my porosity is normal, I have thicker strands, and about medium density. I can't seem to figure out what is going on with my hair. During the winter I was using the Shea Moisture Super Fruit Complex. My hair was awesome. Most days it would have beautiful lucious curls. I would co-wash every other day and then shampoo and deep condition once a week. I'm a product junkie so of course I had to try something new. I've tried using their weightless Moisture line, but it's not enough Moisture for my hair. I just recently bought a trial package of the deva curl line for curlies, and while I feel like I'm getting Moisture my hair dries and it's just a frizzy mess!! My curls are somewhat defined but I hate frizz!! Not to mention they also fall kind of flat and limpy. I just recently tired the line again, left in the condition and squished in some LA looks gel, a new product test. And my hair feels dry and brittle, from the gel I'm assuming. I've also tried using the shea Moisture hibiscus line and I feel like it's too heavy, my curls again are falling flat on the top and giving me a greasy look. What I'm trying to understand is if the winter is dry, why would my hair look better than? If I'm trying more Moisture now? Should I try the deva curl wavy line? Should I ditch the line all together and just stick with what worked in the winter? I am so tired of researching endless products and falling flat because I can't afford most, and I don't even know if they will work! Thank you in advance, especially if you took the time to read all this. The attached photo is when I used deva curl that day, it's mostly the top that I find frizz, and it's so stinking flat. The photo with my daughter is the curls I want!!
