In my opinion, you are already in a great place to begin your curly hair journey!  I recommend reading "Curly Girl: The Handbook" by Lorraine Massey and Michele Bender (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003YL4KS0/ref=dp-kindle...).  This is fairly cheap as an e-book, and you can download the Kindle app onto PCs, tablets, and smartphones, so you don't even need a dedicated e-reader.With all that said, unless you are growing out relaxer or Brazilian keratin treatments, 2b hair will never naturally turn into 3b hair.  I'm growing out heat and dye damage, and my damaged hair that was 2b with no products in it is 2c now (virgin growth might be 3a, but it's only 7 inches or so, so I can't tell how it will behave yet). I'm never going to have my sister-in-law's thick, coarse, utterly springtastic 3b curls -- I'm going to have the finer, looser 3a curls that covered my head when I was a toddler. At this point, my hair is so resolute in its pattern that I can't even alter it by brushing it out. All of this is perfectly fine because it's my natural hair -- the best hair type is your hair type!
