I've got thick, 2b medium density, high porosity hair that refuses to take any sort of moisture and frizzes uncontrollably. I switched over to CG methods at the start of the year, and have yet to see results. I use Suave Naturals for my co-wash and have repeatedly switched conditioners to try and see if that would make a difference. I've used (a complete list): VO5 Moisture Milk (January),Giovanni 50/50 (February), and Suave Tropical Coconut (March), Curl Junkie Deep Fix (April), Honey and Olive Oil Deep Conditioner from the recipes section of this site (May), and am now at my wits end with the frizz and dryness. I try to let the conditioner sit in my hair for at least an hour. If anyone has any advice on how to overcome this, please lend me your expertise!
I don't know about expertise , but my hair is similar to yours. I like to use a thin coat of shea moisture hair milk Or OGX Hair Butter (argan oil or coconut). I divide my hair in half when its wet , the I do a dime size amount of leave in using praying hands, then Ill apply my styler (like gel or mousse). My go to styler latetly are cantu define shine custard, African pirde curly custard , OR Lalooks nutricurl gel. air dry. Hope this is helpful
