I have permed curly hair does the curly girl method work?

I got a curly perm 2 weeks ago and I love it.  Since its chemically treated I know I have to be super gentle with it.  I have been doing a lot of research and came to this site.  If I had naturally curly hair I would be classified as a 2b/2c but I was wondering if I should now classify myself as a curly girl and use the methods/products on this site?  I already started no poo(I purchased deva curl co wash) and have done 2 deep conditioning treatments with coconut oil and my hair is feeling good.  But of course I am having issues with frizz and second day hair.  I have read a lot of articles and was wondering if I were to use the recommended products on this site if it work.  Thanks!!!!!!!

Even though your hair is the same pattern as those, it wouldnt quite act the same characteristics wise. It's chemically treated so it would most likely already be classified as high porosity and honestly thats the most important part you need to know. Focus less on your curl pattern and more on your hair's porosity, density, and strand width. Once you find those out it will tell you all you need to know.Click for a general idea of what I mean lol.Porosity: Click this to find out what porosity is. Then Click THIS to find out how to take care of your hair according to which porosity is yours. This will lead to product recommendations and hair care. Since your hair is processed it'll most likely be high porosity. Density: Click this to find out about density. Then Click THIS to figure out which one is yours. This will tell you how much product you need and help with your overall regimen.Strand Width: Click here to learn about strand width.
