i have really dry 3b hair that gets really frizzy and doesn't look defined in the back please help

my i have pretty dry 3B hair (ill include a picture of my wet and dry hair) that gets pretty frizzy in the back and isn't very defined but the front is very defined and feels too 'crunchy' i use the carols daughter cupuacu conditioner and the cantu moisturizing curl activator and i dry it on the cool air setting on my blow drier on 'low' and it looks good and feels great for like maybe 30 minutes but then its starts to frizz in the back and look really crunchy/dry in the front and frizzy and dry in the back. please help i have a modeling open call on thursday and i don't want to go there looking like a hot mess ugh this is so frustrating

It sounds like maybe you're not applying product evenly all over your hair. There are lots of techniques you can use to apply product. Shingling Method - this means you are applying product on your hair much like you would shingle a roof...one layer at a time. Check out this video.Prayer Hands Method - this is what I use. Basically, you section off your hair piece by piece (based on thickness) and sandwich your hair in your hands and smooth down.
