Wavy in front, coils in back. Hair type?

My hair is loose and straighter than in the back. It is wavy whereas the back of my hair is more tightly curled, with coils the size of a sharpie. The underlayers in the back of my hair are very tightly coiled and the size ranges from sharpie sized ringlets to pencil sized ringlets. My hair stretches to about 7 or 8 inches (from shoulder to chest). My hair gets very dry and frizzy all the time. I am Italian. I use Cantu shea butter leave in conditioner and argan oil and another curling creme every day after my shower. I mist my hair with water and apply products as needed. I have not found something that really works for me. My hair tends to get really dry at the ends and breaks off but my scalp gets kind of oily (common for most curls). I have not used heat styling for 5 years now. I try not to wash my hair every day. I leave conditioner in my hair all day. If I do not, it will become a giant poof of frizz. My individual strands of hair are coarse and dark in most places, but light and fine in others. My hair just gets super unruly and looks like it needs to be de-fuzzed by the end of the day. And there is no shine to speak of.

Your hair sounds very similar to mine and I think I'm a mix between 2c in the front and 3b in the back. Curly hair has a tendency to include 2, 3 or sometimes 4 different type in different areas of your head, depending on how you style it. I recommend the 'plop' method with a micro fibre or cotton bowl as it works the best to decrease frizz. I also use a dime size amount of argan oil on wet or dry hair to reduce frizz and try not to touch it too much while it's still wet. Hope this helps a bit :)
