I've tried using a shampoo with no sulfates in it but my hair still looks oily

im trying to take better care of my hair so I got the No Poo from DevaCurl. I've used it for a little while now but it still doesn't help with my hair looking oily. Should I just keep trying it? Or what can I do to help this?

Was your hair ever responding adversely to sulfates? Check out Jamie's favorite 3a/3b products http://Shop.NaturallyCurly.com/category/jamies-3-a-favorites/
One last wash with sulfates is advised before switching to a no sulfate regimen to clarify any silicones, build up etc....assuming that last sulfate shampoo doesn't also have silicones in it. I like DC No poo but my hair is fine and oily as well and since it is not as cleansing as a sulfate free shampoo or low poo, I cannot use it more than 2x in a row. I like Shea Moisture Superfruit 10 in 1 to get it clean on a regular basis and actually like to use a sulfate shampoo like 1x month (2x a month if I am really stretching my washes and using products to refresh and control frizz on 2nd and 3rd day hair) b/c with low porosity fine hair I get a little weighed down. I always deep condition when I clarify and I deep condition in between as well. You might try DC Low Poo or the SM one I mentioned is less expensive. There are others that have Cocomidopropyl Betaine as a lighter cleansing agent than sulfates that work well for many and that gives you lots of options (I don't respond well to it - it makes my hair feel like a matted dry mess while I'm trying to wash and the hair loss from that is crazy!) Hope that helps a little.
