I was told she did curly hair but she may only be able to handle type 2 and 3a curls. I am a 3c/4a curly. When I got there, she said she had no suggestions for doing my hair and tried to talk me into straightening it.

Stylist: Janice Mikasa
Based on the recommendations here I went to see Janice Mikasa at Janna K Salon. This is the worst haircut I’ve had in 45 years. Janice is a very nice lady but she knows absolutely nothing about a proper haircut for curly hair, and I even had two pictures of what I wanted. She not only knew nothing about Curly Girl or Deva products, but she also insisted on cutting my hair wet. Big mistake. Now my hair is SO SHORT it doesn’t curl! I’ll have to wait at least two months before the hair will be long enough to get my curls back. I can’t tell you how angry I am.
