OMG!! Beverly took my nasty, frizzy hair and turned it into something beautiful! I am relatively new to "curly", as I have spent time and effort to straighten for my entire life. Beverly took the time to show me that my mermaid waves should not be hidden with a flat iron! My hair is no longer frizzy, is so soft, and super shiny! The product line she uses is amazing… All organic (which I love). Also, she is dedicated to reduce/reuse/recycle... even the hair clippings are re-purposed to help mop up oil spills! I can't say enough good things about my experience! ❤️
I found the incredibly talented Beverly online and let me tell you…Ah-MAZING! I had a cut & color which I was delighted with. She truly cares about her clients and pays attention to what they're asking for. So sad that she is no longer working in San Diego.
Super knowledgeable & passionate about curly hair care- Beverly meticulously cut & colored my hair and took the time to teach techniques specifically for curly hair. She is a true professional. So empowering! Highly recommended.
Where has Beverly been my whole life? Well, maybe not my whole life. I finally started embracing my naturally curly hair about 10 years ago and because I didn’t know any better, I went to the same stylist who was styling my straight hair. Bad decision. I thankfully found Beverly in the Fall of 2013 and from the minute I sat in her chair I knew I was in good hands. She is super knowledgeable about ALL types of curly hair. She dry cuts my very curly hair pretty much strand by strand and for the first time I didn’t have any bald spots. She is all about curly hair education and believes in using high quality hair care products to keep you looking great until your next appointment. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for someone to take care of their curly locks.
My daughter and I discovered Beverly about a year ago. I wish we had found her sooner. I have always been unhappy with my curly hair. She has taught me to embrace my curls. She introduced me to products that actually made my hair health and look good. I look forward to seeing her and getting my hair cut in October when she comes to town. My daughter and I just love Beverly and we highly recommend her. She is awesome!
I loved my time with Beverly in Sacramento. I learned how to care for my hair and her cuts gave my loose, fragile, easy-to-frizz curls structure and a plan. My hair has movement, it dries well, and isn't boring. My favorite thing was my color, but I understand that Beverly needed to stop doing color, so I support her in that. I only dropped a star because curly hair is so personal in the styling. I always left with wet hair that frizzed out (because we were touching it, of course!) later, so I'd only find out the next day how much I liked it after I washed it the following day. It's good to know this can happen if your hair is like mine so you don't freak out when you leave. Go do it yourself and THEN judge. I always found the cuts great when I took that pause. Beverly is also SMART, friendly, and fun to chat with!
As an African American woman with "natural" hair I was a little skeptical about trying Beverly--you know the myths that only people of your same race can cut/style your hair?--but Beverly is like a curl whisperer. I have had several dry cuts from her and each time my curls (which range from 3B to 4A) have looked and felt amazing. She has even recommended products specifically for my hair type that I still swear by. I love that she doesn't try to change my hair (a lot of stylist are dying to straighten, braid, or weave it), but works with its natural tendencies. If you have "gone natural" and love wearing your curls out you have to go to her. My only complaint is that her prices are a bit higher than I am used to paying for a haircut, so I can't go as often as I would like. But even with that, I don't go anywhere else--nobody else does what she does and her expertise is worth the price.
I don't usually do reviews but Beverly is so good with my hair that I have to review her here. [Any of you that are near Sacramento better grab her while she's still in the area. She's going back to San Diego... Soon!] Beverly gets an A+ from me [or maybe only an A, since she's leaving the Sacramento area :) !] Both times I've had a dry hair cut from Beverly, I've been very pleased. She definitely knows curly/wavy hair. After my first cut with her, I thought of her as a "hair whisperer". It's one thing to read that someone is gifted in a certain area. It's another thing to experience it first hand. My hair always responds to her. It seems to say, "Ok Beverly, if you want me to start behaving, I will." Then my hair starts behaving nicely in ways that seemed impossible before the hair cut. Amazing!
I have worn my hair the same way my entire life, in a pony tail or in a bun. I have 3B curls, but have never known how to style them or manage them. Beverly talked to me the entire time she cut my hair, explaining everything she did step by step. She gave me great pointers on how to control frizz and how to set my curls. I really wanted to cut my hair short to excentuate my curls, but was very nervous in cutting my hair short. The end result came out better than I could have ever imagined. I got so many compliments on my haircut! I am able to wear my hair down now and with no concerns about it getting frizzy or poofy. She doesnt try to sell you on any specific products, but recommends certain products for you based on your hair. The last time I had my hair cut by her, I found out she was moving back to Sacramento. I was so bummed. Now I have to start over again and find someone else. I just hope whoever I go to can live up to the great haircuts that she gave me.
I have gone to Beverly for about 3 cuts and each time left disappointed as hair looked the same and her prices are very expensive. Although I believe she has talent, the time it takes to cut dry hair without much difference is not worth the time invested. I had to find another stylist who "corrected" the uneven cut and was able to clean up my hair. Curl specialists should be just that, creative and experts in curly hair and the client should leave getting the look they came in for and a reasonable price for haircut. Leaving empty handed is frustrating and I won't go back again and cannot recommend Beverly.
So, I do not like to write negative reviews unless I feel like it's important. This is one of those times. I decided to try Beverly because of the glowing reviews. Had I read through the threads on this site, I would not have done so. I do not know why those unhappy with their cuts from Beverly have not reviewed her, but I wish they had because it would have saved me from this experience. I loved my last curly hair stylist. He was simply fantastic. He listened, was meticulous and took his time to make sure my layers were well balanced with free moving bouncy curls. Beverly did none of those things. Beverly seemed rushed which I thought was odd because she spent two hours with me. She pulled and combed through my hair until I looked electrocuted! Very silly looking, but hey, who am I to dismiss a new technique, especially if it works right? After she finished cutting my hair (impossible to know how it really looked since my hair was frizzy and crazy looking) she washed it and put products, which she said would not be fantastic on my hair, but she would know for next time. She used a hairdryer with diffusor to dry my hair, but it was still very wet as I left, which I am not down with. Here's why: If it's wet, how do I know what it looks like? How is the stylist supposed to make final corrections? Like I said, she was in a rush, so that was that. It looked pretty bad by the time it dried so I decided to wash and dry my hair a few times on my own to see how the cut settled, and of course using my routine with my products. I am so self conscious right now. Today alone, I have had two people ask me what was going on with my hair. One friend who is a stylist for over 25 years said it is not weighted properly. The ends are so thinned out that after a few hours, my curls blend together and get weighed down. She gave me plenty of layers on the top so that kinda has volume, though uneven, and goes out to the sides, while the long pieces fall straight underneath. I look like a tripped out brady mom. Now I am waiting to get an appointment with another stylist to get this corrected and wanna hear the kicker? It's so thinned out that I am facing losing a lot of length which you curly girls know takes FOREVER to get. I am beyond disappointed....
Beverly is fantastic! She is such a wonderful person who knows curls better than any stylist I've ever met. She cuts curly hair dry like it's supposed to be done, but more than that, she walked me through everything I needed to do to have my hair look great everyday in no time flat and recommended great, natural products that really work and won't wreak havoc on my health. She has beautiful curls herself, so I knew walking in she was someone who knew the ins and outs of curl maintenance and wouldn't make my routine impossible. I will absolutely be going back to Beverly and her brand new salon again!
Beverly is fantastic! I recently relocated to San Diego from Connecticut & found Beverly/Hello Curls via reviews on NaturallyCurly.com & Yelp.com. Beverly's talent truly lived up to all of the comments! She was sweet, friendly, informative, easy to chat with, and most importantly, gave me a gorgeous haircut that works perfectly with my curls. For new clients, she takes a full 2 hours to talk with you about how you care for your curls, what haircut you want, then cuts & styles your hair beautifully. Worth every penny!
I was really excited about seeing Beverly, as I'm from Australia and it was my first chance to see a curly hairdresser. Beverly only does curly hair, so I was treated to a true curly experience. She cut my hair dry, washed it with conditioner, applied deep conditioner and showed me how to set my hair without reaching for the comb. She answered some real questions I had about hot oil treatments, how to get height at the crown and even gave me enough hair clips to set my hair at home just like she showed me. I had a 90 minute appointment (first visit) and Beverly gave me her full attention the whole time and did everything she could to help me care for my hair. My expectations were very high, though, and I'm afraid because I've been following the curly routine for years already, I didn't see much results from my haircut. In fact, I didn't really notice any difference at all. But that is probably because of my own overly high expectations. I certainly enjoyed the appointment, and felt my most important questions were answered.
Like many curly girls, I've had trouble finding stylists who understand. There are only a few basic things we all want, and for some reason, it's hard to find someone who can meet those standards. Just like all of you, I look for someone who: 1. Gives a great dry cut 2. Uses natural products 3. Doesn't charge an arm and a leg, and 4. Styles my hair the way she would want hers styled-- beautifully! Beverly meets all of these criteria. I've been to the ultra-expensive curl specialists. None have been able to style my hair as expertly as Beverly-- and she does it for half the price! She even created a beautiful, natural hair design for my wedding. Now I can walk confidently down the aisle knowing that my curls will be as gorgeous as ever!
Amazing! Hands down the best curl stylist I've ever had!
Beverly is great! I used to see her in Sacramento, now I live in Denver and she's in San Diego and I would see her if I was in San Diego! I have never had anyone who understood my hair as well as Beverly does, or anyone who cared about having healthy curly hair as much as she does. Beverly is a wealth of knowledge in curly hair cuts/styling, color, and curl-friendly products. If you have curly hair, and live in or can get to San Diego, you should see Beverly. Oh, and for your straight-haired friends, Beverly has straight-haired clients as well (or, she did in Sacramento!). Go see her!
Beverly moved, I traveled!...to San Diego from Sacramento to get the best haircut she's ever given me. People stop me on the street and tell me they wish their daughter would wear their hair like mine. I'm 57, my hair is gray. Usually I'm invisible but not after this cut. I believe I'm going to San Diego again in 13 months -- can't wait to see what Beverly does with it after that much growth. BEST HAIRCUT EVER!
This review was due a long time ago. Beverly cut about 6 inches off my hair a few months ago. It was so dead on the ends. It was curly on top and in the middle but like straw on the ends. When she got done with it my hair was all curl from top to bottom. Now about 5 months later it is still curly through and through. I am due for a hair cut again and I look forward to going back. My curls have never looked better. and she takes the time to show you how to style curls correctly. She even gave me clips to put at the roots of my hair to lift it when it dries. The best part was I left the salon looking awesome. I always leave salons with wet or frizzy hair. But I left her salon with beautiful bouncing curls. Thanks Beverly!
I was incredibly pleased with my hair cut; not only did Beverly produce a wonderful cut and style, but she's personable and easy to communicate with. I wouldn't hesitate to send my curly-headed friends to her. Thank you, Beverly, for a great hair cut that I'm still getting compliments on!
Beverly has given me the best haircut I've had in years, and taught me some new ways to style my fine locks. It's a great relief to work with a stylist who really knows curly hair. We are lucky to have Beverly in San Diego!
Every haircut I have by Beverly confirms she is the best. She is the only stylist I've ever been to who understands my hair. My short, wavy hair is full of cowlicks, but becomes manageable and stylish under her expert skills. When my natural color began to be mixed with a drab gray, Beverly formulated a wonderful, natural looking color treatment. I receive compliments all the time on my hair. Her salon is pleasant, relaxing and impressively green oriented. - Nancy
If you have curly hair like me, you know the pains and frustrations that come with visits to the salon. I've been everywhere: fancy salons in hotels, small trendy salons, large chains and stores with salons in them. I've had the young, innovative stylist, the older, experienced stylist and even my best friends "trust me, she's the best stylist ever" stylist....in the end, I always leave exasperated, crying or even worse - totally defeated and hating my hair. I'm sharing this background with you because I want all of you frustrated, curly haired women to know that there is hope. I've found a stylist who understands the difference between cutting hair and cutting and styling curly hair. I had the opportunity to visit Beverly Neeland back when she had a salon in Northern California. As happy as I after my first appointment, I was just as upset when I found out she was relocating to San Diego! As luck would have it, my husband found a new job in Temecula and to make a long story short - I am only an hour away from her San Diego location! Well, I just got back from Hello Curls and I love my hair. It is healthy-looking, manageable and doesn't look like like a big brown pyramid of Top Ramen noodles! Thank you, Beverly and see you soon!
I came into town with a color emergency, and Beverly totally saved me. She looked at the issue, and was able to transform the disaster. She is amazing. She is so personable, and she makes you feel like you're the most important person in the world when you're in her chair. THANK YOU BEVERLY!
Beverly is awesome! I was a Sacramento client and have seriously considered how I could make a trip to San Diego every few months just to have her do my hair! She made such a dramatic impact on my curly locks! It's amazing what a fantastic cut by someone who KNOWS curly hair can do for one's self confidence! She educated me on the products that I had and introduced me to awesome products that I never would have found. She only uses the organic color, which I LOVE. I highly recommend a visit to Beverly's school of curls! :o)
Beverly is a very knowledgable curly hair specialist. Something that really impressed me is that she believes in using products that are certified organic, cruelty & ammonia free. If you prefer you may bring in your own products for her to use. When you walk into her salon it is obvious that no harsh chemicals are used here. It doesn't smell like a chemical factory. While Beverly is very knowledgable she doesn't talk down to you or make you feel foolish as she explains what you should or shouldn't do in your hair care routine. I brought in my large box of hair products and she took the time out to educate me on which products I should avoid and why. She doesn't try to force you to buy products either. During my appointment she was patient and truly listened to what I wanted from my haircut. She cut each curl individually and my hair has been looking quite fabulous since leaving her salon. All my friends noticed how much springier my hair was. They asked me what products I was using and I felt so proud to tell them it wasn't the products I was using but the great hair stylist who knows how to cut fine wavy hair and make it look like soft springy lush curls. Will I go back? Absolutely. My daughter who lives abroad is excited to come back to the states so that Beverly can teach her to control her main with the right haircut and products. A wonderful stylist who deserves many accolades!! Sincerely, Claudia Taromina San Diego California
Finally, I found someone who could actually cut curly hair the correct way, my hair has never looked better. Beverly took the time to explain how to care for my hair as well as how to style it. She really likes curly hair and her salon is all about the curls.
I've walked into many salons looking for someone who knows how to cut curly hair. I'd be rich if I had a dime for every time I've been told a stylist is a "master" and has experience cutting curls...only to result in a terrible haircut that makes me look like Sideshow Bob (Simpsons cartoon). Then I moved to a city that actually advertised a curl expert and behold...Beverly is the real-deal, a true master at cutting, coloring, and helping clients manage their curls. Even my husband and teenagers have commented on the noticeable fantastic transformation of my hair over the last six months of going to Beverly, to the point that the 16-year old recently asked for Beverly's help. In addition to Beverly's gift and excellent skills at styling...her sense of style and personality are great, too! The salon is 'green' and the products that she uses are more affordable and (most importantly) effective than products offered in mainstream salons and even on the shelf at Wal Mart. The shop is a one-client boutique feel within a larger salon, in a very accessible and popular location. I love the comfortable ambiance and personal attention I get being the only client in the room and Beverly is such an interesting person that I never feel like we're going to run out of things to discuss. I've been to A LOT of stylists and I'm SO happy to finally find a true curl expert in San Diego! Try her out!
When my favorite stylist moved out of state last May I was in a panic. We all know how hard it is to find a curly hair specialist. As luck would have it, I saw Beverly's ad on this site and visited her website to find out that not only does she specialize in curly hair, she's also committed to keeping her salon green and to using natural products. Having multiple allergies and skin conditions, I try to keep my haircare as natural and chemical free as possible. My first visit to Beverly's salon couldn't have been more positive. She's a delightful person to chat with, the salon is clean and lovely, and I was very pleased with the cut and color services. Beverly is now my regular stylist. I'm so grateful she opened her salon here!
Finally, someone who knows how to cut wavy hair!!
I decided to have my hair done at Hello Curls based on the reviews. My hair wasn't awful, but it didn't warrant the rave reviews previously posted. My highlights were great, no doubt about it. Beverly stated that my highlights should like they "whisper", not "scream". It turned out just as she said and I was very happy with the result. The hair cut was a different matter. The sides of my hair got over texturized, meaning that when it was cut, it got too thinned out. It wasn't apparent at the end of the hair cut because I left with my hair wet. Beverly was in the process of packing some of her hair tools/products for a trip to San Jose and was a bit strapped for time. It's been several months and it's looking much better now. Hope this helps.
Best haircut I had in years! The salon is so cute and you will feel very welcome. I will go back when its time for another cut. Beverly is very sweet. -Marilyn :)
Both my aunt and I wanted to try Beverly out based on all the amazing reviews. She definitely met and exceeded expectations. She took great care with each curl, and gave us amazing tips throughout the process. She's absolutely delightful. I will definitely be going back next time I'm in San Diego.
I found Beverly through this site, I had been searching for someone who would really be able to cut my hair and even show me how to properly care for it. I got that and so much more! Beverly is a lovely person, so fun to talk with and she is just amazing with the scissors, her dry cut was the best hair cut I have ever gotten!! She really took her time in shaping my hair and she also talked with me about how to properly mix products so that my hair doesn't get that gummy, tangly feel. After she cut and styled my hair, my curls looked incredible, I have never been able to get them to look like that...well that is, until I washed my hair the next day and used the Jessicurl products. Wow, everything just came together. I am so pleased with it all, I'm so glad to have found Beverly! I'll be going back to get some color or highlights and I'm sure that I will love that as well! Please try her out, she's very knowledgeable and experienced!
I have struggled for years with prone to frizz, unevenly curled hair. I went to Beverly 2 days ago and she explained that hair curls differently all over the head, plus the top and front pieces of my hair were damaged and no longer curled. She cut my hair dry and my hair did end up shorter than I expected because of the need to remove the dead ends, but the curls look better than ever! My hair now has more bounce and curl and I love it! I will definitely be back.
Beverly comes up from San Diego once a month to share her awesomeness with us curlies in Sacramento. I saw her this past weekend and she is a hair genius! I was having big problems with my hair growing out very oddly (from a pixie cut...you can imagine the mullet!), and also issues with the curls getting too heavy and clumpy and just hanging down like Shirley Temple. She cut my hair dry and did some fancy moves with her scissors that involved cutting portions of individual curls. Whatever it was...it worked! My hair looks great! She's also very nice and is full of great info about curly hair care...I HIGHLY recommend! The phone number is actually her cell phone...you book appointments directly with her, rather than calling the salon.
I saw Beverly in Sacramento one time just before she moved. I don't have a lot of experience with curly hair stylists, but I know enough to know I hit the jackpot with her. I don't post at all on Naturally Curly, since I don't have time, but I do like to stalk for information. I'm currently looking for someone to replace Beverly. I can't imagine finding anyone as good as her. You are lucky to have her San Diego!
I found out about Hello Curls from an e-mail from this site. I was intrigued and checked-out the Hello Curls site. I made an appointment and was very happy. Beverly’s salon is small with a lot of light (big window). She focuses her attention on you, how you manage your hair and how it all fits into your lifestyle. Before one cut was made in my hair, Beverly “interviewed” me, what products I use, how often and I use them and how I use them. She cuts hair dry, then washes and styles. She tries to stay true to your routine for styling and gives suggestions. I didn’t know I was using gel all wrong (on towel dried hair), she suggested I put in on soaking wet hair, use paper towels to scrunch then placing curls to dry. If that’s all I walked away with, it was worth the price of the haircut. Beverly blocks out 75 minutes for first-time clients to learn about you and your hair. I’ve not only booked my next appointment, but I’ve also put her name and website out there for other curlies to check out. As others have said, you don’t just get a haircut, you get an education. I couldn’t be happier.
She really knows curls, you don't just get a haircut you get an education. This is the first time someone actually helped me with my hair concerns and didn't butcher my hair. She really knows what she is doing and is super nice & helpful. My avatar picture is my after picture. I was terrified after my last 2 cuts and went here after reading the reviews and was so glad I did. She even gave me some clips and showed me how to clip the top and wow such a simple thing really made a difference.
I'm new to the San Diego area and thanks to this site I found Beverly. I went to see her today for cut and color and this woman is fantastic!! I am so happy to have found her. I am totally delighted with my hair. You will not be disappointed, she really knows her curly hair!
Was going to make an appt with this salon but after looking over the reviews I find it quite interesting that only all except for one of the reviewers has never made one post to naturallycurly.com. Don't know what to think...
As I read the great reviews on this website, I had to check Beverly out. She is great and is repairing my hair to get back to it's healthy state. She is great just like the recommendations and I would highly recommend her and have to my closest curly hair friends. Do yourself a favor and go see her!!!!!!
I appreciate the reviews because now I no longer have to trim my hair myself. I decided to pay back the favor and also write a review that may help someone in the future. Every "curly grrrl" likely has horror stories of really bad haircuts. For myself, I've got horror stories and some mediocre stories. Honestly, this is the FIRST TIME I'VE EVER REALLY HAD A HAIRCUT because it's the first time I've had someone cut my hair who most definitely knows what she's doing. In the past, the most I could hope for (after getting a haircut) was to think to myself "well, it's not that bad, and will look better in a couple of weeks." This has led to long stretches of just trimming my hair myself (why pay money to get butchered?). Although I wouldn't care if Beverly worked out of a barn, I'm happy to also report that the salon itself is just my cup of tea. It's in a lovely Victorian in midtown with nice natural light, and a very nice receptionist, Brittany. I really liked that I didn't keel over from the smell when I opened the front door. In fact, there was no toxic smells at this salon. One other thing about Beverly: She's really down-to-earth and friendly, as well as giving me great advice about how to care for my hair (this was a first for me as well). Have you met those stylists who act snooty because they consider themselves to be "artistes?" I've noticed that those who are truly competent don't need to hide behind such pretenses, and just to add icing on the cake, Beverly is such a person. I'd give Beverly 10 stars without hesitation.
I cannot rave enough about Beverly! After 3 years of keeping my hair in a short pixie cut & getting razor cuts, I decided to let my hair grow out and get my beautiful curls back. Only to find that getting my hair cut with a razor DESTROYED my curl pattern! I searched the internet to find a stylist that specialized in curly hair. I had been to people before who said they were curly hair "experts" who cut my hair when it was wet (often times with razors or thinning shears), advised me to wash regularly, endorsed towel drying and blow drying my hair (little did I know that all of these things kept my curls from returning!) Needless to say I began to avoid stylists like the plague! After reading the fabulous reviews about Beverly I decided to give it ONE MORE try and make an appointment. And I must say that I have never been more pleased. Beverly gave me fabulous cut and offered great advice on taking care of my hair in order to restore my curls and keep them healthy! I saw a difference the day I walked out of the salon! My curls get curlier and better everyday!
I went to Beverly at the begining of March, I wanted to wait to see how my hair looked after some time. I am so happy because it looks great! Beverly was so nice and did such a good job with my hard to manage curls, that I have worn my hair down every day since. She even showed me some new ways to style it. I live and hour and a half away but will be willing to drive to see her anytime.
Yey! I've finally found someone in Sacramento who specializes in cutting curly hair! Beverly is great. She cuts hair dry, doesn't use shampoo and even encourages you to bring in the products that work for your hair. She listens to your specific curly hair problems and offers excellent advice. But best of all I don't look like a frizz ball when I walk out of the salon anymore! I highly recommend you check her out, you won't be disappointed!
I recently moved here (after having lived here before a while back), and was dreading the task of finding someone good, as I previously had not had much luck here. Beverly was one of only a couple reviewed here that I had not tried, so I did. She is the best! And I have tried a LOT. She does a dry cut, curl by curl, gives great tips as she works with you, and is enjoyable to boot! With the care given, I felt like I was her only client. She has fantastic curly hair herself that she obviously is expert in managing, and made my hair that has been losing "umph" in the last year come back to life. I'll definitely be recommending her!
Beverly is the best stylist I've ever been to for my curly locks. I've received so many compliments on my hair and I owe it to her. She has transformed my hair -- the style and health of it. She is extremely knowledgable, talented, honest, understanding, and kind -- all important traits in a hair dresser. She goes above and beyond to provide her clients with useful information and help, including a wonderful monthly newsletter with tips and tricks. Give yourself and your curls the gift of Beverly!
I have been going to Beverly for about a year now and she truly is great. She takes the time to talk with you about what you want and gives you advice as well. She is an expert at cutting curly hair. She has gorgeous curly hair herself, so she is very familiar with curlies.
After moving to Sacramento in 2004 and trying half a dozen stylist for my curly q's - I finally found Stefania! Stefania is great with curly hair. She always attentive to the style I'm trying to achieve and knows exactly how to cut it, so that I don't look like I have ear-muffs on as my hair grows out!
I found Beverly Neeland after searching the web for someone who had knowledge and experience styling curly hair and she is definitely the one! Beverly took the time to explain to me the reasons why curly hair acts the way that it does and shared with me tips on how to better handle my curly hair. She even gave me a few clippies so that I could go home and attempt doing to my hair what she so expertly did which looked awesome!
My hair was always wavey in my youth and now, as time goes by, it's gotten even more so. But, it wasn't until I discovered Beverly that my true curl was unfurled. I had NO idea how fabulously curley my locks could be! Beverly knew just how to handle my hair, took the weight of my curls and let them be free!
Beverly is not just the Curly Club President; she is also a member. One look at her own magnificent tresses will tell you that she knows and loves curls. She has worked with my remarkably unruly curls at every length and in every color and condition yet remains unfazed. Beverly has also had an extensive career (no pun intended) creating and styling wigs for the stage, and does volunteer work with women undergoing medical treatments that result in hair loss. She is a true find, and for me, definitely worth the trip to Sacramento from San Francisco.
