I have wanted to get a Ouidad or DevaCurl cut for years, but I kept hesitating because of the cost. But the past year, my wavy hair has been extra unruly and frizzy. I looked up salons in NC again and found Salon C. Best hair decision I have ever made, and I just wish I had done it sooner. The extra cost for the Ouidad cut isn't just for the cut. Caroline spent a lot of time teaching me how to style my hair and discussing products. I had read Ouidad and Lorraine M****ey's books and watched a lot of youtube videos, but Caroline tweaked the ****od and it actually works when I do it at home! I drove over an hour to this salon, but I plan to keep going there and I already have my next appointment booked.

She was very sweet but the cut I got was pretty tragic and I'm very embarrassed by it. She spent about a minute talking to me about what I wanted and assessing my curls then cut it to where I indicated I wanted it to end up (curly hair shrinks!). I thought $100 for a Ouidad cut was too much (never had one and my hair has been great!) so I opted for the $40 one which she spent what felt like 5 minutes on. It's weird to me that she can give a better haircut but doesn't. Lesson learned.

I have type 3c curls & was used to getting my hair done at Ouidad in NYC. I was so happy when I found Caroline in NC. She treally knows how to cut, style, & highlight curly hair. I've been to her 3 times & my curls are always spirally, bouncy, and shiny when she's done. I live in the Triangle area & she is so worth the trip! So happy! Caroline is the best & the only stylist I trust with my curly tresses! :)
