I went here and specifically to Giuseppe based on the reviews. The reviews are 10 years old but I figured he had even more experience and was still good with wavy/curly hair. Not the case. I booked a consultation. I told him what I wanted and my concerns. He was very nice and said he could do what I asked for. So I went ahead and let him cut my hair. Though I said I wanted it cut dry he cut it wet saying it would be fine, that he could still finish it dry if necessary . BIG MISTAKE. The cut is uneven, too obvious layers. Disaster. I have to let it grow out a little and find someone who truly knows what he's doing. Don't go to Giuseppe.

Most amazing stylist ever! He knows how to cut hair, he has been cutting hair for over 15 years! His salon (partnered with Dmitriy, who is also an amazing stylist) is top notch, top of the line products, such as Bumble & Bumble, Aveda, MOP, and more.. All of their stylists are trained and professionals. I recommend that everyone visit them! Don't forget to book ahead, the entire crew is always busy!

Another reader posted Salon Fusion in Skokie, but technically it's in Wilmette (he used to work at Mario Tricoci at Old Orchard in Skokie). I wanted to heartily agree with the other reader, however, in saying that Giuseppe is fabulous with curly hair. He is the first stylist IN MY LIFE that I thought did a good job cutting my very curly hair. He totally gets the pyramid-hair problem. Highly recommended!!

I have long, thick, curly, frizzy hair that is a pain to style straight. Guisseppi is amazing. He does the best job blow drying my hair straight then he cuts it dry. Which is great because of the shrink factor with Curly hair. I drive for 30 minutes to get to the salon because it's totally worth it. But, you need to book about a month in advance with him. He is pretty popular. You can check out their website: www.salonfusion.net. I also hear that Demitri is pretty good.
