My girls came to see Shandra and she was so great with their tangly and delicate hair. She was able to explain basic and better care so that my 6 year old and 9 year old were able to grasp it, and do most of the work well at home themselves! I have been a on and off Deva Curl user but Shandra really made it make sense and was available and willing to help when I had questions about my own hair issues! I could not recommend her more!
This salon is great! I was having such a hard time finding a decent stylist to help me manage my hair. I heard about Curve Salon from a friend and went for a visit. These girls are fantastic! Shandra went through everything with me; she is now my hair coach! She offered me solutions and suggestions using Deva products and made it all make sense. I must say i love my hair more when I do it myself, but I left the salon feeling great, confident and happy with this stylist. I will be back!! I even had a chance to talk with their skin specialist Tracie! so much relief!
This will be my third visit next week with Laura. This is a Deva salon. Laura takes her time cutting hair dry. Next step is cleansing back at the sink area then work is checked once dried.
Everything is explained while Laura is working. A sheet has the instructions printed out for home.
Open and bright salon with reasonable pricing.
I have been in twice to see Laura. (Laurie does not work here.)
Laura is a curly herself. She takes the time to analyze how your hair will fall. She cuts dry then cleanses. She checks her work again. One of the best haircuts. My hair falls into place and does not look choppy.
I received a printed sheet of instructions on how to properly cleanse and style my hair.
I will be back.
I went here when visiting the area because I'd read they do the Deva cut (dry cutting method). Laurie was great. She explained everything she was doing and the differences between Deva and a regular cut. I'd go back when I visit the area again.
I visited my family in the area and thought I'd check this place out because it uses the Deva cutting method. (Can't find a place in ottawa that does but found 3 in KW.) It is a dry cutting method during which the stylists works the layers from the bottom up. I'm happy with it. Laurie did great with my fine, wavy hair -- no triangle or globe head. I'll likely go back my next visit.
