My hair is RUINED! For the last year I have gone to Julie for blonde highlights on my medium length curly hair and never had a problem until my last visit. My hair had been getting too light and I asked her to bring it back to my natural color - which is between dark blonde and light brown – and to be careful not to make it red. She did a single process and my hair turned out very dark with a reddish/purple tone. I agreed to have another stylist in the salon trim the ends off my hair and she ended up cutting it into short layers. I went back the next day because my hair looked awful. I told Julie that it didn’t look at all natural and that something needed to be done. She then did another process to bring down the red and my hair turned black and dried it out so much that it started to break off in clumps. I went back yet again – the third day I a row – and Julie said all she could do was add a couple of highlights to break up the mass of color. She put some highlights around my crown and left the back black. My hair is so damaged that inches are still breaking off and one side is an inch and a half shorter than the other. I went to an expensive Upper East Side salon and thankfully they were able to fix the color but they said that the damage done by the color and the terrible haircut will take over a year to grow out.
