Sprout an Organic Salon

User Reviews

Stylist: Rachel Epstein

Just a note for anyone looking for Rachel, she is now working at her new Salon (also in Baltimore) Crafted Hair Studio. For me it is an hour commute and totally worth it, I won't let anyone else cut my hair!

I've reviewed stylists before with glowing praise only to find that after the second haircut I was not so impressed. Several days ago I had my second haircut with Rachel and I am completely in love with my hair. She has a technique that really works to lighten my curls to give them bounce but not frizz (which they are quite prone to) while giving my hair just the right shape. She listens to exactly what I'm looking for and makes it happen. She really is an expert. But as we all know, with expertise comes expert prices. Her haircuts start at $70, and if your hair is long it will be $80. With tip and a product or two I've dropped about $100 each time. Fortunately, I find that I really only need a haircut once every six months or so, when my hair grows and just gets too thick to manage. I've never had a haircut that has stayed manageable as long Rachel's. I will be going back.

Rachael Epstein's new salon is chemical-free and non-toxic, making it a clean and healthy place to cater to your curls. Rachael has naturally curly hair and word of mouth about her great curly cuts has spread around Baltimore. The products she offers are an all natural alternative to give your curl the hold, shine, and protein it needs for excellent manageability.
