CLEANSE: Cowash (Briogeo Avocado and Quinoa) - DEEP CONDITION 2-3x / MONTH (Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair!) - PREP: Detangle in or out of shower with fingers or a thick-toothed comb. Blot with t-shirt or special hair towel (no regular towels allowed).
1st - Apply curl cream (AG:Recoil) ends to roots. Coat hair well. 2nd - Apply heavy butter or pomade (Marvelous Moxie Bling Pomade) thoroughly to ends of hair, working up hair length to roots, and to areas prone to frizz or dryness.
Finger coil areas where hold is important. Coil relatively tightly but do not tug on roots.
Flip hair forward and upside down gently. Fill hands with a good handful of hard-cast gel (DevaCurl Ultra Defining Gel) and cup hair, scrunching upward and pressing into roots. Scrunch upward all over - the crown of the head, the sides, and the back - until hands are empty of gel. DO NOT FINGER COMB!!
GENTLY lift hair up and straighten, laying hair back down when you're right side up. Allow to air dry. As hair dried, break the hard cast of the gel by gently scrunching hair.
