I started on clarified hair (I clarify once a month). Used Eden BodyWorks Peppermint Tea Tree clarifying shampoo, then followed up with Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil shampoo to add some moisture back into my clarified scalp and hair.
Conditioned using Shea Moisture's Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine conditioner. Finger detangled, then detangled with wide tooth comb, and finally my denman brush to really ensure my curls would be tangle free. After that I applied Shea Moisture's Superfruit Complex 10 in 1 deep conditioner. Tied a plastic bag around my hair and kept it on until after I showered (steam from shower helps heat up the bag which helps open your cuticles). Rinsed with cool water.
For styling I only used the Tgin Green Tea Super Moist leave in conditioner and a small amount of Argan oil. Put my hair into 4 sections and applied the leave in into subsections doing the shingling method. Shingling Method: Process of applying product to small sections and individually separating EACH curl where it wants to naturally separate for insane definition. Tutorial on my YouTube "curlsofeli". After that I gently smoothed a quarter size of Argan oil all over my hair. Let air dry or diffuse (I did both, diffused when my hair was 80% dry to speed up time).
Because I only used one actual styling product, when my hair dryed it already had great volume. Of course I wanted more so I picked my hair at the roots until I had my desired look!
