Your hair: Wash, Deep Condition, Leave-In, Plop, Coconut Oil, Sections, Gel, 16-18 Flexi-rods (1/2", 9/16", and 5/8" mix). Those who already have 2c/3a whirly hair may forgo flexi-rods; I have done both ways.
Extensions: Dampen, Leave-In, Gel, Flexi-rods (1/2"), Firm Hold Hairspray, Hang To DryYou: Sleep!
Your hair: Finger-comb to separate curls; dampen slightly in back to close unwanted parts; use a rattail comb to create a side part.
Extensions: Scrunch out the crunch from that hairspray!!! Minimum 1-2" away from part; arrange 3-5 extensions at varying heights on big side and 1 near the front of the small side. Pin back a few strands from the front of your own hair to cover any visible clips and expose more of the color.
Care for the style: Store extensions on flexi-rods -- spray lightly with water or refresher spray to reactivate existing styling product, then with firm hold hairspray to retain curl. As for your hair, sleep with it in a satin bonnet or wrap and pin curl any pieces which have reverted or been pulled straight. A light application of refresher spray and/or a styling milk/cream may also help to maintain definition and moisture.
