If needed, wash hair. (Today was my wash day!) Apply conditioner liberally and allow to sit while you continue your shower routine (I use the OGX coconut milk conditioner). Rinse out.
Plop hair in an old tee while getting dressed.
Section hair according to your part (or just however you like if you don't part your hair) and tie up/clip sections you are not currently working with. Rake in your leave-in (I use Mixed Chicks) and follow up with your cream (I use Shea Moisture's Curl Enhancing Smoothie).
For extra definition, gently run a detangling and/or denman brush through your curls. (You can do this either while applying section by section, or at the end after both the leave-in and cream are in, but definitely BEFORE applying gel!).
Use plopping tee to get rid of any excess product, then smooth a little gel on your roots (I use Wetline Xtreme Professional Styling Gel - with the green cap) to keep them tame*, and rake through the length of your curls. Scrunch for added definition with tee (and also to remove extra product and break the gel cast in advance!). Do not touch until hair is completely dry. Scrunch out remaining crunch (if any) and fluff/shake your hair out as you like! *If necessary. My roots tend to look very 'fluffy' and undefined if I don't add gel there, but if you know your roots will be fine without it, skip this step!
