Steps
1
I wash my hair with a low poo, you may use a cowash if you'd like. I used a mix of Shea Moisture's Black African Soap Shampoo & 10-in-1 Superfruit Shampoo.
2
I mixed my deep conditioner with my regular conditioner. You may skip deep condish and use regular conditioner if you'd like. I mixed GVP Conditioning Balm and Shea Moisture's 10-in-1 Superfruit Complex Masque- this cocktail is absolutely magical! I leave it on for about 10 minutes.
3
I rinse out the masque mix with cool water to finish my wash. I follow with a nickel size amount of GVP Conditioning Balm and squish it in throughout my hair as my leave in.
4
Since my hair is high porosity/color treated. I rake in small dabs of Shea Moisture's Curl Enhancing Smoothie. I take 3 fingers and dip lightly into the surface of the Smoothie then rub the amount on my palms before I rake. Repeat as necessarry. I do this to ensure I don't use too much of the Smoothie.
5
I finish off by first raking then smoothing on LA Looks Sports Gel until each section is sufficiently coated. Then I take a big dollop of gel (slightly larger than a half dollar size amount), rub it on my hands and start scrunching upside down. Then I plop my hair until it is about 90% dry, after that I take it out of the plop and clip my hair at the roots with some small jaw clips (can be found at any dollar store).
