Not sure why my photo won't stay turned upright. Oh well. Products I use: TRESemme Perfectly Undone Conditioner Kinky Curly Knot today Leave in Conditioner/Detangler Curl Keeper by Curl Solutions LA Looks Sports Gel Revlon Hair Dryer with Diffuser Attachment COWASH:Start with dry hair. Apply conditioner to scalp only and massage in for about 5-7 minutes (TRESemme Perfectly Undone is my favorite right now).Apply conditioner to the length of hair, section by section and ensure all hair is totally covered and squishy.Allow to sit for about 30 minutes before rinsing. If you have no time to wait, begin rinsing process at this time.
RINSING:Apply small amount of water to hair and begin finger combing OR use a wide tooth comb.Once detangled, rinse again, but leave enough conditioner in hair, to where the water running off is "milky" looking.
LEAVE IN:Apply leave in conditioner Kinky Curly Knot Today) using the "petting" motion.Gently and slowly begin scrunching the hair from the bottom, up and give it a good squeeze.
GEL/MICROFIBER TOWEL (STILL upside down):Apply plenty of gel using the same technique as the leave in conditioner (I use Curl Keeper by Curly Solutions and LA Looks sports gel for a little extra hold).Continue slowly scrunching different sections of the hair and ensure gel reaches every bit of your hair.Once finished, use a microfiber towel or an old t-shirt to continue scrunching the excess water out (I only scrunch this way 4-5 times).
DIFFUSE/AIR DRY:Using a blow dryer with a diffuser attachment, carefully lower ends of hair into the diffuser and begin slowly scrunching as much hair as possible, into it (think of an accordion while doing so). Continue diffusing different sections of your hair until totally dry. Best done upside down or with head tilted to the side. When air drying, simply arrange hair how you would like it to dry and be sure to scrunch every 10 minutes, to avoid losing definition and volume.I don't part my hair in any particular way and I try my very best NOT to touch it a whole lot once it's dry. Place in pineapple for bed and spritz with a mixture of Kinky Curly Knot today and water, then diffuse just enough to dry it again! That's all, folks!
