How to Help Your Hair Survive in a Dry, Hot Climate

Wash and condition hair, then dry with a t-shirt.
Seal in moisture using LOC method. While hair is still damp, separate hair into 6 to 8 braided sections.
Unbraid each section, securing smaller sections with clips. The smaller the sections the better. Spray each section liberally with mist and then apply gel to the saturated hair.
Separate gelled sections into individual clumps. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until all sections have been "shingled".
To maintain style for about one week, wrap hair with a satin scarf each night. Each morning apply SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Hold & Shine Moisture Mist over entire head and fluff with fingers. Using combs or picks would cause locs to lose definition and appear fuzzy.
