Feb 26, 2011 - This review is for the Smooth as Silk Extreme Protein Hair Infusion. Love it! I leave it in about 5-10 minutes and it really gives life and silky smoothness back to my hair (not colored, but with bits of unruly gray). I also like using the smooth as silk shampoos and the 50-50 of Giovanni to clear any buildup. Has very faint grapefruit scent, but not overpowering.

Feb 26, 2011 - Use this every once in a while and it always makes my hair look great. As with all products on my hair, I find a little goes a long way. Barely scented either for those of you who don't like heavy perfumes.
Feb 26, 2011 - I use very little on my natural hair (much less frizz once I stopped semi-permanent colors) and love it. No heavy perfumes, and by diluting it I get a low-poo clean. Still cary with other shampoos such as Aubrey to avoid build-up.

- Robyn Dunn
Mar 04, 2011 - I no longer live in San Diego, but I want to leave a review for Robyn for all you curly heads out there since I know how hard it is to find a good stylist in a new city. Robyn saved me from years of 'trimming' my own hair after I gave up on local salons. She always created very natural styles for my 3a curls that were easy to care for. I went from long to mid-length short to somewhere in between with her through the years and my hair looked great at every length. I have friends with much curlier hair who've been going to her for years. So give Robyn a call, your curls will be good hands.
- Jamie Levine
Mar 04, 2011 - Curls, cut, color. She does it all. By far the best hair stylist for curls and waves in the Richmond, Virginia area and I hear she still has clients in NYC. I first heard of Jamie from a young woman I saw who had the best pixie cut I've ever seen, and yes, there is a huge difference between pixie cuts. In 2009, my own Type 3a curly hair was just growing back after a big fallout. About 3 damaged inches on top, only 1/4 inch at the nape to work with. I was new to the Virginia area and couldn't return to Vain Salon in Seattle where Liza cut my hair, so finding Jamie Levine after a horrible "pre-fallout" cut at another Richmond salon was amazing good luck. I booked an appointment only hoping to look halfway "normal" again. Jamie took her time to ask about my hair, the amount of time I'll put into styling (none), wether I wanted to cover the grey (no), and my own style of dressing (I try for Paris-Berlin). I gave her carte blanche to do what she wanted, and ended up with a truly chic cut that made me look awake and alive and good. Best of all, it took no care at all. With the feminine yet edgy cut I fit right in on a trip to Berlin, Paris, and London. Even better, between cuts, it always looked fantastic just rolling out of bed. Even my boyfriend and guy friends loved my new look. Maybe it is Jamie's native New York style and training, or her innate talent in understanding different hair types, textures, and 'architecture', but I can't image going to anyone else ever again. And she's a wonderful human being on top of it all! I keep in touch through her facebook page for specials and news. (and no, I'm not being paid for this review, and this is my 2nd attempt at posting a review here.)
Feb 26, 2011 - I no longer live in Washington, but I used to drive 65 miles from Olympia just to get my hair cut by Liza (Liza Jo). She is an expert at curls of all lengths, and knows how to deal with different textures, curl levels, and even the cowlicks I didn't know I had. My hair looked edgy but not self-consciously so, wether I had shortish hair or shoulder length cuts, and was always an easy wash and wear. I just noticed Liza is not accepting new clients at the moment, but just in case, keep her in mind. I also enjoyed the Vain Salon and had friends who got great cuts from other stylists there.
