May 24, 2012 - In conjunction with the AnGel, this stuff has done wonders for me over the dry winter. It clumps my curls together giving it great definition. I apply it when my hair is sopping wet, then apply AnGel and then use a t-shirt to lightly scrunch out extra moisture. This product does not work well on dry hair AT ALL. I give it 4 curls because of its limited ability. It doesn't seem to do much for my in the humid spring/summer or in conjunction with other gels.

BeautyBotanica's Latest Product Reviews
May 24, 2012 - It's not the absolute worst styling product I've ever tried, but it still sucked. It totally stripped my hair (even after using my amazingly hydrating leave-ins) and made it feel like straw. It gave some definition but is not as strong-hold as I thought it would be. Plus, the smell makes me nauseous. Back in the day I would have loved the smell, but once you get used to using natural products the strong artificial fragrance of HE is so chemical and disgusting.
May 24, 2012 - I had really high expectations for this stuff, considering its overall 5 curl rating, but I was sadly disappointed. Perhaps because I've been co-washing and using DevaCurl No-Poo, this stuff seemed like going back to the horrible days of regular shampoo. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I poured the sodium laureth sulfate atop my head, but whatever this "Decyl Glucoside" ingredient is, it leaves a residue on my hair. I've noticed it from other shampoos I've tried containing this ingredient, it literally feels like I washed my hair with soap. Ick.
