Apr 15, 2015 - I've tried just about every sulfate free shampoo I could find on the ground in my 2 years of wearing my hair naturally, and have only ever found one I like. I adore Shea Moisture and had high hopes for this shampoo. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. This shampoo makes my hair feel great, but just doesn't clean my scalp as thoroughly as I need. I think this may be due to my gel usage (it's silicone free but I use A LOT of it and the ingredients are not very natural). I can't quit gel so I'm using up this and the Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Shampoo I bought as body wash.

Apr 15, 2015 - I really wanted this to work because I absolutely adore Shea Moisture products and I've never had a refresher spray work for me before. Unfortunately, I've had to accept that my hair just doesn't like being spritzed/sprayed with anything once dry and I am just one of the unlucky people that has to rewash once my curls start to frizz and come apart. So far I have been using this as a hair perfume and to help slick back baby hairs prior to applying gel for buns and ponytails. Now that the weather is warming up I plan to experiment with using this as a lightweight leave in paired with the Curl Smoothie, and as an anti-frizz serum over my other leave ins. Otherwise, I don't think I'll be repurchasing once it's gone.
Apr 15, 2015 - Made my hair hard, dry and tangled. Conditioning didn't help a bit, which told me that my hair was reacting so horribly because it was not properly cleansed. Washing the next day with my HG sulfate free shampoo (Palmer's Olive Oil Formula Smoothing Shampoo) immediately banished the hard, dry, squeaky feeling and brought my hair back to normal. I only use CG friendly conditioners and gels specifically to reduce buildup so any shampoo that requires me to wash twice to get clean is a failure in my book. Will not buy again.

Feb 14, 2014 - I had my first appointment with Mia in July, one month after finding NC.com and deciding to embrace my curls. I have been in love with my hair ever since! I no longer get bulky triangle hair since Mia worked her magic. Mia's knowledge on caring for curly hair helped me get started on creating my own routine, and ever since then people compliment my curls everywhere I go! I rave about Mia to every curly person I know. I wear my hair down just about all the time now, whereas my signature style when I was straightening was a ponytail. I urge all CT curly girls that are tired of straightening but don't know where to start to stop bothering with cheap haircuts intended for straight hair and make an appointment with Mia ASAP. She is AMAZING and you will NOT regret it!
