Curly Kinks Curlycue Renew Moisturizing Deep Conditioner

Feb 12, 2014 - I hate to be the barrier of bad news but since I have started my hair journey back in Jan. of 2010, this is the worst deep conditioner I have ever put on my hair. I have 3c/4a highly porous hair. My hair soaks up moisturizing products when I apply them to my curl. The first time I used this product, I followed the instructions and applied to clean damp hair and deep conditioned with my dryer for 30 minutes. When I went to rinse out the conditioner it felt moisturized but once all of the product was out, my hair felt like I did not even deep condition...Strike 1. Strike 2. 2 weeks later, I deep conditioned with this product overnight, hoping for better results. I left this deep conditioner on my hair for nearly 12 hours, and when I went to rinse out the conditioner, my hair felt like I did not even deep condition. What was even worse was by the end of the day, my hair felt extremely dry. No Good. Since my hair was so dry, the next day I decided that I would give the deep conditioner one last chance and co-wash my hair with it. What A Mistake!! I left the conditioner sit on my hair for about 10 minutes while I finished and soon as I rinsed my hair out, my hair felt horribly rough. Strike 3...Never Again. So besides the fact that the product did not do anything for my hair and I actually feel like it made my hair feel drier and rougher, If that was not the case, and the product did work for my hair, the reason why I would not purchase this again is because I only got 3 uses out of it. For $13 plus shipping for an 8 oz container it would never be worth it to purchase this for a deep conditioner. I deep condition my hair twice a week and try to find worthy deep conditioners that work, for less than $10 and at least 16 oz. I recommend Edens BodyWorks Jojoa Monoi Deep Conditioner or Sallys Beauty Supply GVP Conditioning Balm ,$6 for 16 oz!! One last thing, I believe the culprit of this product not working for my hair is the burdock root, amla, or the horsetail. I don't recall ever using a product with any of these ingredients in them so from now on I'll keep an eye out and try to avoid these ingredients. Ingredients: Distilled Water, Certified Organic Burdock Root (Arctium lappa), Certified Organic Amla (Emblica officianalis) , Certified Horsetail (Equisetum Arvense), Pro-Vitamin B5 (Panthenol), Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan) Extract, Ulmus Fulva (Slippery Elm), Althaea Officinalis (Marshmallow) Root, Guarsilk, Olive Oil, Avocado Oil, Meadowfoam Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Fragrance
