Motions Straight Finish Sealer

Aug 13, 2013 - I enjoyed trying the Straight Finish Sealer . A little goes a long way. However, this product wasn't as effective for my hair type (4C) as I expected. My hair was frizzy and converting within a few hours especially being outside. I anticipated long flowing luscious hair but I ended up with a Tracy Ellis Ross look which I didn't mind but once I stepped outside, I could feel the wind slowly changing my texture back to it's original state. Now don't get me wrong, I enjoyed seeing and feeling my hair straight, I just wish there was longevity in the results I had. However during the week that my hair was straight, I did appreciate the softness and the ability to now manage my coarse hair. I will be using these products again in a few months as a treat for my self. I did receive minor heat damage from using these products but not to the point I'll be completely deterred from trying them again. Maybe adding more conditioner and sealer may do the trick.

Motions Straight Finish Leave-In Conditioner

Aug 13, 2013 - This Leave in Conditioner worked well but could have been better. A little definitely goes a long way. What I noticed about this product is that you need to allow it to sit in your hair before you begin to blow dry your hair. If you allow to sit for about 10 mins or so, it really loosens and softens the hair preparing it for blow drying. I have 4C hair so this was very impressive how soft certain areas of my hair were after leaving it to sit for a while. Now I wish there was a extra product used with this conditioner while blow drying because after I was done with blow drying, my hair felt so coarse and it was abit frizzy. Granted, adding heat to 4C hair is never the best idea but I some how thought miracles could happen. I used medium heat and I applied as much conditioner to my hair that I felt was needed but nevertheless, my hair appeared very coarse and frizzy in some areas making it a very daunting task to flat iron. For coarser hair, I would recommend applying another heat protectant product that compliments blow drying. Maybe it will help keep the hair soft and moisturized.
