Kinky-Curly Knot Today

Apr 01, 2010 - Follow the instructions carefully and you, will be amazed. My hair was a hot dry mess b4 this product. Definitely works better when hair is wet of course. First time, I applied when wet after co-washing it. It detangles wonderfully! I didn't even use a comb! I used my fingers! 2nd and 3rd day. I just spritz with water, then applied it and the KinkyCurly Pudding. The puddling gave it that extra gloss and it helped elongate my tight curls. is It's gonna be a while 'til I run out because a tablespoon amount is all you need if you have short to shoulder length hair. I used to have to glop a large amount of product to get it into shape. It's been 6 days since I've used it, and I haven't even made a dent! In fact after the 4th day, I didn't put any in. I just freshen it up with a spritz bottle full of Castor Oil, Distilled Water, and a couple drops of little fragrant oil because castor oil is stinky. My hair feels a little crunchy, but compared to what my hair felt and looked like several days ago, I take crunch anyday!

Kinky-Curly Curling Custard

Apr 01, 2010 - First of all, was hesitant about giving this product 5 curls because it's so expensive! HOWEVER, to me it's worth the investment! I bought the 17 dollar container at Jovance Salon in San Pablo. I am so amazed at how little of amount of product I need to apply to make it do what I've been longing for it to do! It's gonna be a while 'til I run out, and I'm not sharing with anyone. With other products I would have to use a lot get it in shape. Normally, after the 4th day, I would be half way finished with the container. With Kinky Curly, I haven't even made a dent! I just carefully followed the instructions after CO-Washing with Aubrey's Honeysuckle, then applied a decent amount like a teaspoon of the Knot Today, I finger thru my hair from root to ends instead of comb-out then applied the pudding (about a tablespoon amount),fingeredagain, and smoothed my kitchens with castor oil, and wah laa! I was smiling again! Now, I'm on day 6 since I've used it. After the 4th day, I didn't even put any of the product in. I just freshen it up with a spritz bottle full of Castor Oil, Distilled Water, and a couple drops of little fragrant oil (castor oil stinks), and my curls are well defined, elongated, fresh and glossy. I think I found a keeper!!!

Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Conditioner

Mar 15, 2010 - I've used this conditioner twice so far, and I have to say I agree with most of the 4a Type. It's a great, affordable product! I bought mine at the Vitamin Shoppe in desperate need to find something to moisurized my super frizzy, dry hair, and I gambled on this one because it said it not only moisurizes, it detangles. The first time I used it, I co-wash there was no change and I struggled with kinks. The second time (after using shampooing, my hair was so packed with residue from other products), I tried it again, and YES!!! It DOES detangle! AND it does moisurize. I read one reader uses it with Honey; I think I'm going to try that next time to see how that works. I give it 4 curls because honestly because even though it does it's job, it's hard to gauge how much to put on my hair. I think I put too much the first time. I like glopping conditioner in my hair because it's easier for me to comb it out, and this conditioner leaves a flaky residue if you use too much. Oh I'm sure this product make a great deep conditioner too! All in all, I WILL buy this product again because it's organic and affordable.
