Jan 17, 2013 - I purchased this product about 6 weeks ago. It is very moisturizing and smells wonderful! Suggested tips: -wet and "water-wash" your hair first -apply a significant amount throughout hair - leave it in for at least 4-5 minutes ( I put on a shower cap) -scrub scalp and go through normal washing actions. -comb through hair with a wide tooth comb. -rinse The only CONS are that the suggested amount listed is far below what my 3C curls needed and that the pump disperses a tiny amount, so you have to either take it off or pump incessantly to get the needed amount.

SwirlyCurlMel's Latest Product Reviews
Jan 01, 2012 - This is my go to product and has been for about 2 years. Although, I am constantly trying new products, this is what I always go back to for surefire detangling and moisturizing. It doesn't take much product to work, in fact I've have the same super-huge bottle for about a year and it's not finished yet. It's probably the best value of all the products I've purchased. While in my hair it provides a smooth, slippery feeling that eases the comb out process tremendously. Afterwards, my hair is soft, smoothed, and moisturized without feeling weighed down. I know this has dimethicone which some curlies say is a big no-no, but I find that the benefits outweigh any drawbacks. I use a clarifying shampoo with SLES (a sulfate) about once every 6-9 weeks which removes product buildup, however I believe that the majority of the buildup I experience is from styling products I use- not this condition, but we'll never know.
Jan 01, 2012 - First time use was two days ago. I think I may have used a bit too much after reading other reviews. This product defines and holds my crazy curls very well, adds shine and moisture but is too stiff for my personal preference. The curls were a strange combination of soft and crunchy. I believe that this product would be very useful for taming frizz and holding your curls in place during our extremely humid summers in Florida, but I the trade off is the lack of movement and stiffness of hold. I will continue to use it and tweak the amounts used for a while to see if using a bit less will allow for hold without stiffness. If things get better, I'll post again.
