Aubrey Organics B5 Design Gel

Oct 17, 2011 - I really love this product. It leaves my hair soft and shiny, even without the use of a leave in conditioner, and never crunchy. I love the fact that it's organic; I'm a huge fan of Aubrey as it is. The only reason I'm not giving it more stars is because of the hold. As much as I love how it makes my hair feel, it doesn't have a very strong hold. By the end of the day, my hair usually ends up poofy and the curls are not as defined as earlier in the day. Also, I noticed that when my hair started to get longer, it left my curls looking a bit limp. If you don't require much hold, then I would definitely recommend trying this gel.

Kinky-Curly Curling Custard

Oct 17, 2011 - When I first started using this product, I hated it. It left my hair feeling crunchy, hard, and dry. My hair has been thinning recently and the curling custard seemed to make my hair look stringy, which didn't help. So you're probably wondering why I gave it 4 stars. I realized all the issues were because I was using too much of it and I wasn't applying it properly. After a couple of weeks and trying different methods, I realized the best way to use it for my hair was to put a pea sized amount (maybe a little bigger) on my palm, add a few drops of water to it, mix it between my hands, then scrunch it into small sections of wet hair. Adding the water made a huge difference, the product goes on smoother and doesn't clump onto one area of the hair, preventing any crunch when dry. I would definitely recommend using a leave in conditioner with this (or use your regular conditioner, which is what I do). Overall great product, leaves my hair shiny, soft, and holds all day. I just wish the ingredients were organic, but I guess you can't have it all. I'm not sure why the description on this website says it's organic, it isn't. No where on the packaging or on their website do they claim their ingredients are organic, they simply say it's "all natural," there's a difference.
