Jessicurl Awe Inspiraling Spray

Apr 20, 2009 - No definition, no shine, did nothing positive for my curls. Seems like little more than scented water, not at all worth the price. Would not buy again.

Jessicurl Too Shea! Extra Moisturizing Conditioner

Apr 20, 2009 - This used to be the best conditioner: thick, rich, and moisturizing. Now it makes my hair stringy, dry, and frizzy. I swear they changed the formula because it doesn't even look the same. Now whenever I use it, I feel like it actually damages my hair. I've been a faithful Jessicurl customer since becoming a curly girl 4 years ago, but no more Jessicurl for me.

Ricciolo Salon - La Verne, California, United States
Lora Johnson

Mar 01, 2010 - I've been going to Lora Johnson for about three years now, and would follow her to ANY salon, as she saved my hair from a series of bad haircuts. She cuts my hair dry and really LISTENS. She's not one of those stylists that asks what you want, then attacks your head with a flurry of flying scissors, but rather explains each and every step. Her curly cuts are true transformations, and she also does great, natural highlights and color. She even lets me bring my own products, and respects that I don't heat style my hair. I highly recommend Lora for anyone with curly, wavy hair or anyone else that wants a great cut or color.

Apr 05, 2009 - Lora, previously at Hot Heads in Pasadena has moved her professional, friendly demeanor and sexy, rockin' haircuts to the Escape Salon in Claremont. She's friendly but not overly chatty. She knows how we curly girls have been traumatized by horrible haircuts in the past, and proceeds with caution and patience. Doesn't push products like so many other stylists do. In fact, she asks you to bring your own curly friendly products. Cuts hair dry, and her slithering technique set my curls free. As long as Lora is cutting hair, I will be her loyal customer.

May 11, 2008 - I've just had my third cut with Lora, and I can't say enough wonderful things about this stylist. She is one of the few stylists I've been to that actually LISTENS, not just nods her head and pretends to listen. She cuts hair dry, and while she doesn't carry any curly products, she completely respects that I am cone and sulfate free, and don't ever comb, brush, or heat style my hair. I have long, wavy hair that forms soft, loose ringlets if treated properly, and with a technique she calls "slithering", Lora de-bulks my hair into layers that bring out the curl. The gave me long bangs that perfectly frame my face and soften my forehead. She's also great at fixing other stylist's mistakes--my hair was trashed by a number of stylists, so I was understandably skittish to try another. Lora was patient and understanding, and brought out the best in my hair. I can't recommend her enough.
