Rish Design @Araby Salon - Kansas City, Missouri, United States

Nov 05, 2012 - Highly a great haircut. She cut my hair dry and gave me a fantastic cut. Great curl definition and the back looks very cute (my hair is on the shorter side)... she's talented. I didn't have to give her very much direction either, just make it look better and fix the back. That's all she needed and she spent plenty of time, even giving me styling and shampoo/conditioner routine/tips. She gets curly hair. She does scheduling online and you deal with her from start to finish (very convenient). Wish I lived in Kansas City, I'd be a regular. Thanks to the recommendations folks have put on this board would have never found her w/o them.

Salon 151 - Barrington, Illinois, United States

Nov 02, 2012 - Not recommended. Leigh was nice but not really sure why folks recommended her for curly hair. Does she have curly hair... yes, but that really has no basis on a stylist being good at cutting curly hair. I get great haircuts from straight haired folks if they have been trained to cut curly hair. My hair was uneven and just didn't look good, she also didn't own a diffuser (had to borrow it). Cute little salon and friendly just not for curly haired folks. I've found several really good stylists through this site (just not in Chicago). I travel for work and find this site helpful. The search for a good Chicago area stylist goes on.

Nicole at iBeauty - Etobicoke, Ontario, United States

Aug 13, 2011 - FIrst of all, thanks to everyone for recommending such a great stylist. It's much appreciated! I just went for my first haircut w/ Nicole and my only direction was to make it look better. I knew I was in the right place when I asked her about what she thought of my current haircut and she pointed out exactly what had been bothering me... she was spot on with the things I was always telling my last stylist to fix. Well the result is it looks 100% better, she cut a bit more off than I expected (which is my fault for not being more specific) but it still looks nice, even though I'm still adjusting to it. It was great to have someone give you tips as she was styling it. She definitely understands curly hair though (especially the part about it being wet before putting gel, etc. in it)... no stylist seems to understand that, they just start putting goop in through your half dry hair. I still style it my way (since my way is faster) but I'm already looking forward to my next appointment so we can tweak it a bit and also get some more tips. I don't have time to go downtown for a haircut so a very convenient location.
