Sep 25, 2010 - I really love this product, though it took a few tries to figure out the right amount to use. Some other reviewers had said they mix a bit of the product with water and rub it in their hands before applying and I've found that this works for me as well because this product is so thick and creamy. I think mixing a small dab with a little water and rubbing it in my hands before applying allows me to get a better application. As others have also said, I have to use only a very small amount of this, otherwise my hair gets greasy and weighed down (my hair is thick, but really fine). Obviously, the up side to using such a small amount at a time is that a tub of this lasts a long time, which is terrific considering the price. I've been using this with CurlKeeper, but I think I could probably get similar if not better results by using just some leave-in conditioner first and then a dab of Re:Coil. I'm not fond of the scent of this product (it's hard to describe exactly what it smells like), but thankfully it's rather faint and doesn't last, so it doesn't compete with my perfume. I appreciate that Jessicurl products have the fragrance free option, but while I love their conditioners, the styling products just don't work nearly as well for me (I ended up with stringy, frizzy hair). With Re:coil, I get so much better curl formation and using a bit of leave-in and the CurlKeeper has really helped reduce my frizz as well. I will definitely continue to buy this product and recommend it to others.

Aug 08, 2010 - I highly recommend this product. I've wasted so much money on conditioners that either didn't provide enough moisture for my hair or contained ingredients that just damaged my hair and weighed it down. I was a bit afraid that this might be too much for my hair (it's thick, but it's also very fine), but my curls have my hair and scalp have actually felt so much healthier since I've been using this and the Jessicurl Too Shea daily conditioner. I've tried this treatment both with and without heat, but I got better results when I put my hair under a shower cap and used the dryer on it for about five minutes, then left the treatment on for roughly an hour. However, the length of time it's left on and whether or not heat is needed would obviously vary for different people based on the condition of their hair.
Jul 08, 2010 - I previously wrote a review for Deva AnGEL in which I said that it was the best I'd been able to find so far, but that was before I'd tried this stuff. Although this makes my hair crunchy as it's drying, once I scrunch it out, it feels soft and the best part is that this gel is made from natural ingredients. I have had terrific curls when since I've been using this. The only down side is that I've ended up with some fluffiness, but I don't think that anything can really stand up to 90+ degree heat very well, so I still give this product the highest rating.
