Dec 13, 2009 - Mixed reviews. I was a few minutes late but had called ahead. Receptionist was gracious on the call and in person. It was a tranquil salon, but I was kept waiting for a few minutes;we had a consultation. I think she is honest, but perhaps a bit interested in pushing products before we even got to a cut. She worked on me for a bit, then on other clients, and continued this back and forth. Though I was offered refreshments (water, tea, wine, cheese/crackers) while I waited, the one-hour appointment kept me there two hours (she did apologize saying Saturdays were tough days). She did right cutting my hair while it was dry to see the curl (many hairstylists don't know this trick) and she did bring the curl back into my hair. However, the style is unflattering (to give credit, she said I didn't have a lot of choices given how my hair was--recovering from an episode of fall-out and breakage from undetermined causes)...I look like an elderly woman with a bad perm. Perhaps I will think differently after I wash and style it myself. So all in all, not sure if I would go back. I must say, her own hair (curly, attractively styled) is a good advertisement for the knowledge she professes about curly hair, but who cuts it? That might be interesting to have found out.
